So the meeting at Ethan’s school was just with the nurse. His new teacher was in training (how to inflict pain on children without leaving a mark). The meeting with the nurse, the backup nurse and other people whose roles I cannot even imagine was to go over E’s health plan. It all went well and the staff was very supportive. The only down side is that we had to show them how to cath, all 6 of them. It was a bit of a freak show atmosphere, but we got through it.
Today I am going in so the nurse can have a “not so” dry run. Open house is this afternoon, so I will meet his teacher today. Tonight is back to school night (how you can have back to school when they haven’t gone to school is beyond me).
So far, I am encouraged.
