Outta the Park

Some days are just better than other.  Some days are just great.  Today is one of those days.

Work was work; but I did have a nice lunch out in the pavilion. 

After work, I took Ethan to his baseball game.  It was a perfect night for baseball.  We were on the nice field, it was 70 degrees and the parents were friendly as usual.  Ethan had several hits and ran his heart out.  Then in the final inning, he fielded a grounder and got a kid out on third.

After the game, the coach gave him the game ball.  That ball could have been made of platinum and it still would not have been more valuable. 

There are few experiences in life as powerful as watching your kid excel at something he loves.  The rest of the week is downhill from here.
