The New Year fills me with hope. I am not certain that things will be better, but at least I have hope.
I fear that America in general has lost it morality and compassion. I am hopeful that a change in leadership will change our sensibilities.
Let me preface my remarks by saying, I think terrorism is awful and I admire citizens that are willing to defend our country.
On 911, +/-3000 people died. Since that time, our country has been responsible for the deaths of approximately 400,000 civilians. 400,000 who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I am sure we are all tired of the rhetoric of the election. But I am hopeful that the result will be a fundamental change in direction.
